Jo Joo-bin, 25, the operator of'Doctoral', who was sentenced to 40 years in prison at the first trial for producing and distributing sexual exploitation of minors, argued that the sentence was too heavy.

At the first trial held today (26th) at the hearing of the 9th Division of the Seoul High Court (Director Judge Han Kyu-hyun, Kwon Soon-yeol, Song Min-gyeong), "The 40-year imprisonment was too heavy compared to murder or other violent crimes and lost equity." I asked for a review at the appeal hearing."

The lawyer said, "Even though the sentences that are favorable to the defendant were listed in the sentence, these conditions were not considered." "The maximum limit of imprisonment for detention is 45 years, but considering that the case indicted as a separate case is still in progress, The maximum sentence was sentenced.”

In addition, the lawyer denied the charge of organizing a criminal organization that was convicted in the first trial and claimed some innocence.

On the other hand, the prosecution pointed out that "the doctoral organization is an unprecedented criminal organization in the history of the Republic of Korea."

In the first trial, the prosecution asked Mr. Jo to be sentenced to life imprisonment.
