Netflix: soon a shuffle function -

That's it, after several months of testing, the shuffle function is ready to be rolled out to Netflix subscribers.
The streaming platform has just announced the upcoming deployment of this new reading option which should help the most undecided in choosing a film, series or documentary for the evening.
When announcing its results for the 4th quarter of 2020, Netflix indicated that the tests of this new feature had been a success.
This is why random reading will be deployed during the first half of 2021 for all subscribers, without further details.

This will offer “members the option of instantly choosing to watch a title chosen just for them, rather than browsing”.
The programs launched randomly will therefore be chosen by Netflix on the basis of subscribers' preferences.
To take advantage of this feature, the user will simply have to select the “Watch something” option under their profile, from the Netflix login page.
The platform will then be responsible for launching a film, series or documentary likely to appeal to the subscriber on the basis of films and series seen or started, recorded programs or similar titles.
Subscribers can also find the functionality from the side navigation menu.
A new "Watch something" tab will indeed be added to the list.
Finally, if shuffle play has so far only been available on the TV version of Netflix, there is a good chance that it will also be offered on the streaming service's mobile application.
It should also be noted that this new reading function brings Netflix somewhat closer to traditional television.
