Yesterday, the number of new corona 19 confirmed cases was 401, reaching 400 for the second day.

Since 520 new confirmed cases occurred on Sunday, it has been showing a modest decline, moving up and down the 300-400 range for four consecutive days.

Of the newly confirmed cases yesterday, 380 cases, minus 21 foreign inflows, were domestic cases, and 277 were confirmed in the metropolitan area, including 122 in Seoul and 133 in Gyeonggi.

In the non-metropolitan area, 103 people were confirmed in 13 provinces excluding Daejeon.

As 16 people died during COVID-19 treatment, the cumulative death toll was 1,316.

The Seoul Dongbu Detention Center, where more than 1,200 cumulative confirmed cases were found, conducted the 11th total inspection on 1,000 people, including prisoners and employees, and all were negative for the first time.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said that in order to prevent the spread of Corona 19, it is considering ways to compensate for the losses of small business owners and self-employed people who have been damaged by following government quarantine guidelines such as business bans and business restrictions.
