Russia has developed a device for searching for minerals on the Moon and Mars

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Igor Mitrofanov, Head of the Department of Nuclear Planetology of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

“With the support of the Russian Science Foundation, we have created a laboratory prototype of the device and tested it at a proton accelerator at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

The experiment showed that our concept works, ”said Mitrofanov.

Earlier it was reported that the space council of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) recommends postponing the creation of a super-heavy rocket for a manned expedition to the moon.
