We are heading towards 7am right now.

Snow, which started to fall from the night of the 17th, has almost stopped in the metropolitan area.

However, there are places with a lot of snow in some areas.

There are currently heavy snow warnings in Gangwon-do, Chungcheong, and Jeolla-do.

I will connect reporters on my way to work this morning.

Reporter Choi Sun-gil, how is the situation right now?

<Reporter>

Yes, I am now in front of Daebang Station in Seoul.

Snow that started coming from last night, fell and stopped repeatedly, and now it is showing a lull.

As the rush hour is getting closer, the number of citizens and vehicles on the way to work are also increasing.

When it comes to full-fledged rush hour, there is a concern that roads will be congested.

Currently, heavy snow warnings have been issued in the southeastern regions of Seoul, such as Gangnam and Songpa, Incheon, and southeastern Gyeonggi, as well as the Yeongseo and Chungcheong regions of Gangwon, Jeolla region, and northern Gyeongbuk.

As of 6 a.m., 0.1cm of snow accumulated in Seoul, 3.2cm of Suwon, and 5.4cm of Anseong.

Estimated snowfall is 3-8 cm by this evening, and more than 10 cm in many places.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters upgraded the emergency stage to stage 2 from 8 o'clock last night, and started snow removal work and inspection of vulnerable facilities.

In the metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do, we are carrying out snow removal work with 14,000 personnel and 2,500 equipment.

<Anchor> If

you look at the road behind Reporter Choi, the road conditions are so bad, you can't see it.

Still, how do you feel on your way to work today?

<Reporter> On my

way to work today, it would be better to use public transportation.

This is because the roads are frozen, and it is predicted that there will be snowfall even during the rush hour.

In preparation for congestion on the way to work, Seoul increased the number of subway lines to 36 from 7am to 9:30am, and extended the minimum interval for all city bus lines.

The number of subways during commuting times in Incheon City is also increased, and the interval of intercity buses is adjusted.
