Gyeonggi Province has decided to pay the second basic disaster income to all citizens.

A Gyeonggi-do official said, "We have agreed to pay the second basic disaster income by accepting the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's proposal."

Looking at the review plan reported by Gyeonggi Province to the Gyeonggi-do Council, it is expected that 100,000 won per resident will be paid as in the first session.

The payment timing is being reviewed in early February, before the Lunar New Year holiday, taking into account the quarantine situation and the effect of boosting consumption.

Payment methods are being discussed as well as local currency cards and credit card point payments.

The required financial resources are about 1.4 trillion won, and Gyeonggi-do is planning to cover only the funds in operation.

In particular, the second payment is expected to include foreigners (580,000 registered foreigners and residence reporters) who were excluded from the first payment.

It has accepted the requests of human rights organizations and the recommendations of the National Rights Commission.

Governor Lee Jae-myung has argued for the need for universal dispensation support and has demanded additional support from the entire population.

On the 5th, a letter was sent to the opposition lawmakers and the Minister of Strategy and Finance, saying, "We need a bold expansion fiscal policy to overcome the structural low growth and the Corona 19 crisis, alleviate polarization, and revitalize the economy." Urged.

Regarding the criticism of the Democratic Party's Supreme Commissioner Kim Jong-min, saying that the universal dispensation of disaster subsidies could cause confusion in the quarantine network, "the idea that if you give universal support, you will be rushed to use the money, the level of public consciousness is overlooked It will be."
