Yesterday (12th) afternoon in the metropolitan area, it snowed a lot, so it was a little harder than usual.

Let’s connect reporters on the scene to see what is going on today.

Reporter Jeon Yeon-nam, did it snow more overnight?

<Reporter>

I am currently in Yeouido.

Even though snow was scattered at night, the snow has stopped.

However, if you look around me, you can still see snow piled up like this, and as the snow froze in sub-zero weather, ice roads and roads were created all over the sidewalk.

After 3pm yesterday, snow has poured out of sight in the center of the metropolitan area.

In two or three hours, 4.3cm of snow was observed in Seoul, 2.8cm in Incheon, and 12.3cm in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do.

Especially in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, 7.4cm of snow poured over 3 hours.

When the heavy snow advisory was issued, the Seoul Metropolitan Government engaged in emergency snow removal by putting in more than 8,000 manpower and 1,000 equipment.

Currently, most of the snow melts on the roadside, so there is no big obstacle to vehicle traffic, but there are still many places on the back road where snow remains, so you should be careful about the safety of your way to work.

As you can see from the back, snow removal on the main road was good, but it is still expected to be crowded on the way to work. How is it?

<Reporter>

It snowed less than last time, but it would be better to use public transportation on the way to work this morning.

This is because there is a concern about ice-freezing on the section where snow removal is vulnerable and the road on the back road.To prepare for congestion on the way to work this morning, Seoul increased the number of subway lines to 36 from 7 am to 9:30 am, and reduced the minimum running time for all city bus lines. Extended.

Incheon city also decided to operate an additional temporary subway during rush hour.
