A man in his thirties who brutally murdered a woman living with him disagrees with the first trial.

According to the legal community on the 12th, the first criminal division of the Daejeon District Court Nonsan Branch (Judge Song Seon-yang) sentenced Mr. A to life imprisonment for murder, assault, rape, and injury in November last year.

Mr. A had an argument with Mr. B, who lived with him at the time, at a restaurant in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do at the dawn of May 19 last year while drinking alcohol.

After following Mr. B, who asked for a breakup, Mr. A was handed over to trial on charges of stabbing a victim lying in the room 10 times with a weapon and killing him.

It was investigated that there were also young children of Mr. B at the crime scene.

During the investigation, it was also revealed that Mr. A continued to use violence against Mr. B from 2019. Mr. A was additionally charged with assaulting and injuring the victim, such as rape after hitting the victim, or pushing and kicking the victim down the stairs saying'Do not harass anymore'.

The judge said, "After raping a victim who was difficult to protest, he brutally murdered a victim by wielding a weapon indiscriminately."

He then emphasized that "the crime is bad, such as running away after being told not to report to the victim's children," and sentenced A to life imprisonment, but A did not comply with this ruling and appealed.
