Black smoke rises with red flames from the window.



Today (10th) around 4 am, a fire broke out in the second floor house in Saha-gu, Busan.



The fire, believed to have started in a living room, killed an old man in his 70s living alone.



[Fire officials: It was found in front of the bathroom next to the living room, but it is presumed to be smoke inhalation.] In



Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, at around 0:30 am today, one person died in a house fire, which is believed to have started in a heating furnace.

Around 3:20 pm this afternoon, a fire broke out in a restaurant in an apartment mall in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.



[Fire witness: There were three or four popping sounds during the smoke.

Pow.]



Smoke covered the whole area, but fortunately there were no injuries.

Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, around 11:30 am today, a fire broke out at a factory that makes interior materials for automobiles.



The fire broke out on the second floor of the factory where four workers were working, and the fire department estimates it was caused by overheating of the work equipment.

The fire at the waste landfill in Pohang City, Gyeongnam, which started at around 8 pm last night, was completely extinguished around 4 pm today after about 20 hours.



About 9,000 tons of household waste were piled up in the landfill, half of which, or 4,500 tons, were burned.



Police and fire departments are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
