An extra-large wild sandodeok was discovered in a hillside in Hadong, Gyeongnam.



According to the Korean Traditional Simmani Association, on the 3rd, Mr. Jeong, 49, who was working on opening a forest road in Yasan, Hoengcheon-myeon, found a red-colored sandodeok weighing 1.2kg and requested an appraisal.



The association said that even in the middle of winter during the harvesting process, the roots had a dark deodeok scent and the body had a red color, which is known to have excellent efficacy.




According to the association appraisal, the age of this sandodeok is estimated to be more than 100 years, and saponin, which is good for anticancer effect, was found to be 68.2BRIX, about twice that of wild ginseng.



The association introduced that it has a higher saponin content than any other herbs available so far.



Since ancient times, wild sandodeok is said to have a medicinal effect comparable to that of wild ginseng.



It is known that eating deodeok is effective in preventing and treating adult diseases such as stroke and hypertension, as well as relieving fatigue by lowering blood pressure and soothing even when you have a fever and thirst.
