With the spread of the first confirmed COVID-19 mutant virus in the UK, the government has decided to mandate the submission of negative PCR confirmations for all foreigners entering the country.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explained, "It is mandatory for all foreigners to submit a negative PCR confirmation letter when entering Korea."

Accordingly, foreigners entering Korea via flight starting on the 8th must submit a negative PCR confirmation issued within 72 hours from the departure date.

The PCR negative confirmation was first introduced in July of last year for entrants from some countries subject to strengthening quarantine, and on December 28 of last year, submission of the negative PCR was mandatory for all entrants from the UK and South Africa.
