“The World Health Organization today listed the Comirnaty coronavirus vaccine for emergency use, making Pfizer / BioNTech the first vaccine to receive emergency confirmation from WHO since the outbreak began a year ago,” the WHO website said.
It is noted that this step will allow UNICEF and the Pan American Health Organization to purchase the vaccine for distribution in countries in need.
Earlier, the Serbian Medicines Agency issued a permit for the use of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.
