On New Year's Day, a fire of unknown cause broke out in the Inha University building.
The fire department put out the fire in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
According to the Incheon Fire Department on the 1st, at 0:21 on the day, a big fire broke out in the building of Building 4 in Yonghyeon Campus, Inha University, Michuhol-gu, Incheon.
This fire burned a lot of the inside of Building 4, but because it was a holiday, there were no students left in the building, so there was no human injury.
When the fire broke out, black smoke rose high with flames, and fifteen reports were followed by the fire department.
The fire department put 170 firefighters and 39 equipment, such as a pump car, to extinguish the initial fire in about an hour and 10 minutes, and completely turned off the fire at 2:48 am that day.
Building No. 4 is located directly behind the main building (Building No. 1) from the main entrance of the university.
It is reported that there were communication rooms and department offices on the first to third floors, and practice rooms on the fourth floor.
After the fire, the Inha University Student Association announced the fire through Social Network Service (SNS) and informed them to evacuate not only the 4th building, but also the students in the nearby building.
The fire department believes that the first fire started on the 4th floor of Building 4, and is planning to investigate the exact scale of property damage and the cause of the fire.
An official from the Incheon Fire Department said, "The warning order has evolved without issuing," he said. "It is believed that it was fired on the 4th floor of the building, but the exact cause will be determined through field identification.
