<Anchor> The

police, who have investigated allegations of sexual violence by former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, who passed away, released the results of the investigation today (29th).

It has been five months since the complaint was filed.

The key was whether there was any sexual violence, and whether the officials of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's secretary's office knew about the damage and whether they had tolerated or assisted it, but in the end, the police closed the investigation without resolving all suspicions.

Organizations that have supported victims insisted that even what was revealed in the investigation should be transparently disclosed.

There are four major suspicions that the police investigated.

The main targets of investigation were allegations such as forced harassment by former Mayor Park Won-soon, known as the victim's accusation, the history of Mayor Park's death, the suspicion of aiding and acquiescence by the secretary's staff, and the secondary abuse against the victim's secretary.

Despite the investigation for more than five months, the police dismissed all of the allegations raised without the right to prosecute or without the right of prosecution, except for the second insults of some netizens.

The allegations of sexual violence were disposed of without the right to prosecute after Mayor Park's death, and the case of Mayor Park's death was closed because it was not related to the crime.

The secretary's office also dismissed allegations of condoning or assisting Mayor Park's harassment.

To confirm the allegations, they tried to look into Park's cell phone, but the court dismissed the warrant for seizure twice and could not obtain meaningful data.

The victim support group pointed out that the decision to not have the right to prosecute was expected, but the fact that the investigation had been identified should have been transparently disclosed.

[Kim Hye-jung / Deputy Director of the Korea Sexual Violence Counseling Center: It is necessary to mention even if the police have so far confirmed that what the (victim) stated is supported in this way.

Should the individual victim take this share again...

.] In the

early days of the incident, the police ended the investigation by distributing the contents of the victim's complaint or handing over 15 people, including 9 people who made malicious comments, to the prosecution as opinions of the prosecution.

The suspicions that the police have not resolved are being investigated by the prosecution, and attention is also being drawn to the results of the National Human Rights Commission's investigation, which is expected to be released next month.
