A famous bakery in Busan, which operates 16 directly-managed stores nationwide, was caught using raw materials that had expired.

The main violation is that the expiration date of food ingredients'fresh yolk sac' is used as a raw material for nine products such as bread, and the expiration date of food ingredients has been increased by 6 months.

Egg yolk liquid is a separate collection of egg yolks.



In addition, it was also revealed that products were manufactured and supplied to directly-managed stores for which the activities to control mold and sanitary pests in the workplace were not properly carried out or for which no product manufacturing report was made.




The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (KFDA) collected all of the 9 products (44kg in total), including'Mochador', which used egg yolk liquid that had expired through the inspection on the 16th to the 22nd, and seized and disposed of it on site.



Eighteen cases of bread and confectionery sold in other department stores and directly managed stores were tested and found to be suitable for both preservatives and food poisoning bacteria.



The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said it would continue to strengthen crackdowns so that violations in the process of manufacturing and distribution of food would be eradicated, and requested that products suspected of being unfavorable should be reported as 1399.
