The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Korea exceeded 50,000.
Among the new confirmed cases, 892 were confirmed in Korea, minus 34 from overseas.
There were 649 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area, including 327 in Seoul and 237 in Gyeonggi.
In the non-capital area, confirmed cases were found in all provinces except Sejong, including 48 in Gyeongbuk, 29 in Chungbuk, and 23 in Jeju.
The death toll increased by 24 a day yesterday, and 698 people died while undergoing COVID-19 treatment so far.
There were 274 patients with gastric and severe illness.
