A homeless man, who caught fire in his clothes while making a fire to avoid the winter cold, saved his life through the active rescue of citizens.



According to the Gwangju South Fire Department, on the 13th at about 3 am, the clothes of A (50), a homeless man, caught fire on the road in front of a car repair shop in Juwol-dong, Nam-gu.



When the winter cold hit, Mr. A tried to light a paper box to keep warm, but the fire caught on to his pants.



Embarrassed, Mr. A tried to turn off the fire by brushing it off his pants with his hand, but the flames were getting stronger and burning.



Kim Mo (30), who was driving by on the road next door, saw A staggering in flames and stopped immediately.



Mr. Kim and his girlfriend in the car caught the fire that was surrounding Mr. A with the blankets in the car, no matter who was first.



An unidentified man who passed by also ran and added his hand.



Mr. A was transferred to the hospital by the 119 paramedics who were dispatched after receiving a report from Mr. Kim.



A, who was in a dangerous situation engulfed in a big flame, suffered a second degree burn on both legs and is undergoing medical treatment.



Mr. Kim said, "It's dazzling what it would have been like if we didn't find it," he said. "I'm proud to be able to help someone in a dangerous situation."
