▲ Jo Mo was arrested by the police during the arson incident on Seoul Subway Line 3

"If you are released, I will not leave you alone."

The arsonist, who regularly sent threatening letters in prison, committed another crime.

On the 15th, the police arrested Jo Mo (77) on charges of arranging a prefectural building.

Cho filed a lawsuit against the city of Gwangju in 2000 for damages of hundreds of millions of won, but the court ruled that only 10 million won was paid by the city and the insurance company.

After a 10-year lawsuit, Mr. Jo was dissatisfied with the results of the trial, and on the morning of May 28, 2014, he sprinkled inflammable substances and lit a fire inside the train of Seoul Subway Line 3.

About 370 passengers were on board the train heading from Maebong Station to Dogok Station, and the disaster was prevented thanks to the quick response of the station staff.

It is known that Mr. Cho chose the place of the crime as the crowded Seoul subway with the intention of'promoting resentment widely and most effectively.'

Even inside the prison, Mr. Cho sent several threatening letters to the Dong-gu Office, where he borrowed the office of the building from Gwangju City and Gwangju City.

After Mr. Jo was released, he claimed that the right to lease the basement floor of a shopping mall was in effect and operated a parking lot, and a civilian who owned the building jointly with Gwangju City filed a lawsuit against him.

The court concluded that Jo's possession of the basement floor of the building was unfair.

Then, with the same intentions as during the fire in the Seoul subway, Jo packed a large amount of flammable substances and invaded through the back of the building around 0:30 on the 15th.

At about 3 am, Mr. Jo sprinkled flammable substances on the stairs and everywhere, lit up a fire, and walked out of the building.

Police found a flame in the corner of the stairs and completed the initial extinguishing with a fire extinguisher before it spread with flammable substances.

The police found the whereabouts of Jo, who had fled to an acquaintance's house, and immediately went to arrest.
