A four-year-old was "left behind" on a school bus for several hours, before being brought back to school by the driver.

Parents are now asking for explanations and asking that an accompanying person be present to ensure the smooth running of the trips.

That morning, little Tiago's mother lived through thirty minutes of anguish.

On November 23, says Le

Progrès

, Sandra Favre receives a call from the school in Matafelon-Granges, in Ain, to ask her to justify the absence of her 4-year-old son.

A wave of panic then overwhelms her: that morning, she had indeed dropped Tiago at the bus stop, as usual.

It was the driver who put an end to his worry a long half hour later.

The child had in fact remained in the school bus, without anyone noticing.

"I had no idea where my son was"

"I had no idea where my son was. At 11:30, we finally managed to reach the driver, who brought the child back to school at 12:15", explains Sandra Favre in Le

Progrès

.

Tiago's parents are asking for answers: how could such an event have happened?

Sandra Favre and her companion ask that a guide is now present throughout the trips to ensure their smooth running.

Last week, another child was forgotten on a bus in the Aisne.

Thursday, the bus driver was suspended for "professional misconduct", says

The Union

, specifying that a dismissal procedure would be initiated in the wake.

The protocol of the transport company stipulates that drivers must ensure that no one is left on board before parking their vehicle.
