A fire broke out on the 3rd basement floor of a 15-story KT building in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 11:10 pm on the 15th.
The fire department, who was dispatched after receiving a report of the smell of burning inside the building, issued the first step of the response to mobilize all fire fighting power in the building and initiated fire fighting.
Immediately after the fire broke out, 10 people, including workers on the 3rd basement level, evacuated themselves, and there was no human injury.
Police and fire departments believe that the fire started due to overheating of the lithium battery in the emergency power supply room on the 3rd basement floor.
