Attorney General Yoon Seok-yeol and the Ministry of Justice's Prosecutors' Disciplinary Committee have clashed over whether to continue the deliberation deadline.

The disciplinary committee started the second deliberation at 10:34 a.m. on the 15th, and continued interrogation of witnesses until 7:30 this evening.

In the afternoon, witness interrogations were conducted against Prosecutor Son Jun-seong, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and in the afternoon, Prosecutor Park Young-jin, Chief Prosecutor of Ulsan District Prosecutors' Office, Prosecutor Ryu Hyuk, Prosecutor of the Ministry of Justice, Lee Jeong-hwa, Daejeon District Prosecutor's Office, and Chief Prosecutor Han Dong-soo.

After the witness interrogation, President Yoon asked the disciplinary committee to continue the deliberation deadline in order to read new evidence and prepare a refutation of the opinion submitted by the Prosecutor General of the Ministry of Justice Shim Jae-cheol.

However, the disciplinary committee is known to have requested that President Yun immediately make a final statement of opinion, saying that it would conclude the deliberation today.

It is known that the Disciplinary Committee requested that General Yoon "if it is necessary to arrange arrangements, I will give you 1 hour, so you must give your final opinion after 1 hour."

Yoon's side is known to have raised an objection, saying, "This request is unreasonable and practically impossible."

When the disciplinary committee said it would close the deliberation on this day, it was reported that he left the conference hall saying "I will not make a final statement of opinion."

Accordingly, the disciplinary committee met at around 7:50 this evening.
