Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon designated the chief prosecutor Shin Seong-sik, anti-corruption force, as the prosecutor who confirmed the contents of the misinformation to a KBS reporter in relation to the KBS' Channel A misinformation.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor's Office said, "Recently, the complainant's side in this case submitted a letter of opinion specifying the accused,'Sung-Sik Shin' as the prosecutor's office."

Previously, KBS reported a transcript of the conversation between Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon and former Channel A reporter Lee Dong-jae at the Busan High Prosecutors' Office on February 13, saying that it contained a conspiracy to raise a suspicion of involvement in Sillazen's stock price manipulation by Roh Si-min, Chairman of the Roh Moo Hyun Group in July.

At the time, KBS said, "(Prosecutor Han) said,'Chairman Yoo has retired from the political world' and'The political burden is not great even if the investigation is conducted.' Reported.

In response, prosecutor Han sued KBS reporters and investigative agency officials who provided false information to the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on charges of defamation, saying, "It is a fiction and creation made up of a conversation that does not exist.

KBS also acknowledged the misinformation and apologized, saying, "The facts that were not accurately confirmed in some of the articles were expressed categorically.

Prosecutor Shin is currently serving as a disciplinary committee member for Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.

As the reason for the disciplinary claim against General Yoon includes suspicion of interfering with the investigation of the'Channel A case', it is likely that the fairness controversy will arise over the inclusion of the new prosecutor in the disciplinary committee.
