The Seoul Yongsan Police Station applied for an arrest warrant for hip-hop singer Iron (real name Jeong Heon-cheol, 28) for assaulting a male minor's roommate with a baseball bat.



According to the police on the 10th, Iron is accused of hitting A (18) at his home in Yongsan-gu the afternoon of the previous day and hitting him dozens of times with a baseball bat after making him prone.



Iron is a hip-hop singer who took second place in Mnet's'Show Me the Money Season 3', and Mr. A is known to have learned music while living with Iron.



The police were dispatched to the scene at the report of Mr. A's family and arrested Iron as the current offender.



Iron was charged with assaulting his girlfriend (injury, etc.) for refusing to comply with his request during sexual intercourse, and was sentenced to eight months in prison at an appeal in November 2018, two years probation, and 80 hours of social service.



In connection with this case, he was also charged with causing false information about his girlfriend to be reported (defamation), and was sentenced to a fine of 5 million won in September this year.



He was also charged with smoking cannabis (violation of the Narcotics Management Act) and was sentenced to two years probation after eight months in prison in 2016.
