A fixed-term teacher in his 30s who was sentenced to prison for stealing precious metals from his home for a high school boy student he had dated was released after being sentenced to probation in prison at an appeal trial.

The third part of the Incheon District Court's Criminal Affairs Office canceled the court case sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for a full-time teacher at Incheon High School, who was charged with a theft teacher and fraud, and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison and 3 years probation.

Mr. A was charged with asking his pupil B, a student, to bring money and goods worth 13 million won, such as a garbage box with a gold ring, from home 27 times while serving as a fixed-term teacher at a high school in Incheon from February to April last year. .

Mr. A has been in personal contact with his student, B, since December 2018, and has been a lover since January of last year.

Mr. A tricked his parents of group B, saying, "I will tutor my son twice a week," and received 6,400,000 won, and was also charged with dating instead of studying outside the house.

He denied the charges by blaming Army B in the first trial, and appealed that the sentence of one year and six months in prison was too heavy.

The appellate court judged that "the defendant had to steal his mother's goods after developing into a romantic relationship with his student B," and said, "The crime is very bad and the amount of damage is considerable," but "the defendant admitted all the crimes in the appeal court." "We also agreed with the victims and considered the fact that we did not have a history of criminal penalties in the past," he revealed the reason for the sentence for probation.
