  • Hold-Up,

presented as a documentary by its authors, intends to analyze the errors in the management of the Covid-19 crisis.

  • Relayed on social networks, it contains erroneous claims, which

    20 Minutes

    has verified.

Vimeo finally removed it from its platform, where it had been on sale since Wednesday.

The film

Hold-Up, return to chaos,

returns, with more than thirty speakers, on the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, from the wearing of the mask to hydroxychloroquine, to the tests to detect the virus.

Presented as a documentary, the film, which aims to denounce the management of the crisis triggered by the virus, recalls the lack of equipment made available to caregivers at the start of the crisis.

However, he quickly takes up questionable claims, some of which had already been largely dismantled.

Produced through crowdfunding, the film quickly leaked across multiple platforms.

Its director defended himself in the program Les Grandes Gueules to have only presented "facts".

20 Minutes

reviewed ten statements contained in this film lasting two hours and forty-three minutes.

  • "This virus goes so far as to build future internment camps in Canada."

There follows an excerpt from an intervention by Canadian MP Randy Hillier, who wonders about the location and the number of people who are in "isolation camps".

This intervention dates from October 8.

These "camps" are places, mostly hotels, where travelers returning to the country are placed for fourteen days, if they have no place to isolate themselves, recalls Radio Canada International.

The Canadian health ministry and the public health agency have also denied the existence of such "camps".

4/6 If it is confirmed that travelers entering Canada do not have any other suitable option, they may be transferred to a quarantine facility designated by the #GdC.

This action is taken as a last resort.

  • "Surgical masks are not very protective, since it is even marked on the box that it does not protect against infections"

This argument is regularly used by opponents of the wearing of masks.

However, to argue that it is useless to wear a mask on the grounds that they would not protect those who wear them "is nonsense since surgical or general public masks are precisely supposed to protect others and not ourselves by preventing the projection of the droplets emitted by the person wearing the mask, ”recalled the doctor Jonathan Favre, member of the Stop postillons collective, at

20 Minutes

, in July.

  • “We have a financial incentive to declare Covid”.

The assertion is launched by Violaine Guérin, co-founder of the collective Let us prescribe them with the deputy Martine Wonner, she also intervene in this film.

This collective wanted to launch a study on hydroxychloroquine.

Violaine Guérin takes the example of consultations with general practitioners.

As

20 Minutes

explained in May, a consultation for a positive patient for Covid-19 is significantly increased by 30 euros, in addition to the 25 euros for a consultation in sector 1. The performance of an antigen test is billed at 46 euros. .

  • “You have to realize that autopsies, WHO instructions, etc. are prohibited.

    "

This is a rumor relayed for several months.

The WHO has not banned autopsies of patients who died from Covid-19.

In guidelines published on March 24, the international organization recommends that these autopsies be carried out with security measures.

  • “You can't say there's a problem with hydroxychloroquine.

There are 2 billion people who have taken it, we have never heard of it.

    "

The assertion comes from Philippe Douste-Blazy, former Minister of Health, who has, since the film's broadcast, distanced himself from it.

This figure of two billion had already been put forward by Didier Raoult.

The professor had also advanced in September before the senators that "there are 4.6 billion people who live in countries in which hydroxychloroquine is [recommended]" to fight against Covid-19.

The majority of world health authorities, however, advise against this treatment.

  • Hydroxychloroquine has “proven efficacy” and is “harmless”.

This is what viewers of the film can discover on a panel.

This antimalarial is usually prescribed to treat lupus.

The WHO does not recommend the use of this drug to fight Covid-19.

According to preliminary results from the Solidarity trial published on October 15, “the four treatments evaluated (remdesivir [marketed by Gilead and repeatedly opposed to hydroxychloroquine in the film], hydroxychloroquine, lopinavir / ritonavir and interferon) had no that little or no effect on overall mortality, initiation of ventilation and length of hospital stay in hospitalized patients ”.

“So far, only corticosteroids have been shown to be effective against severe and critical forms of COVID-19,” adds the WHO.

  • We prepared the rivotril syringe for them, with an order, to finish them off completely when they were already in respiratory distress"

Serge Rader, presented as a pharmacist, reviews the situation of the elderly living in the Ephad.

He is referring to a decree published on March 28 which allowed the dispensation of Rivotril until April 15.

This decree had raised concerns, concerning a possible "legalization of euthanasia".

“The provision [of Rivotril] by this decree aims to alleviate the suffering and anguish of the patients concerned.

Its anxiolytic properties are used to relieve anxiety, not at all to precipitate death.

As soon as we face an end-of-life situation, it improves its comfort, ”

Professor Claude Jeandel, President of the National Professional Council for Geriatrics, told

20 Minutes

.

  • “This virus had yet been announced for several years and in a precise manner, not by conspirators lacking notoriety, but by white coats and white collar workers who had become very far-sighted.

In 2009, this book prefaced by the journalist Alexandre Adler reports from the secret archives of the CIA and, to know what we were going to experience eleven years later, in 2020, it was enough to read page 250: "The possible outbreak of a global pandemic, it will undoubtedly be in China ".

    "

Visionary the CIA?

The film takes up a book published in 2009 by Alexandre Adler, in which the CIA reportedly envisaged a large-scale pandemic.

If the agency described the risks associated with a new virus, it is “because it had already happened”, Alexandre Adler reminded Public Senate, taking the example of Ebola.

He also stressed that this report was not an isolated production, the American agency then writing "regular" reports on geopolitics.

  • "Containment [was] in preparation from December 5 [2019] before the National Assembly, with the beginnings of the Amiel law, supposed to give a legal framework to this exceptional situation"

What is presented as a law is a private member's bill.

This text was neither voted by the deputies nor promulgated, it is therefore not a law.

On December 5, 2019, Senator LREM (who resigned on August 2, 2020) Michel Amiel did indeed submit a bill.

The first part of this text aimed to fight vector-borne diseases, in particular those transmitted by mosquitoes.

In the second part, the senator proposes new measures to fight infectious diseases.

In a presentation of his text, Michel Amiel does not mention Covid-19, but “emerging infectious diseases of the Ebola type”.

To fight against these diseases, the elected representative of Bouches-du-Rhône proposes three measures: "simplify the reporting of patients" using "computer tools" made available to health professionals;

limit the presence of contact cases "in places where there are many people" and keep these contact cases at home "for the incubation period of the disease";

set up a “forced isolation”.

This last measure should only be used as a last resort, stressed the senator.

He had specified to Public Senate that this measure “would apply quite exceptionally”.

The committee responsible for examining the text had also set a time limit for this measure.

  • There was a “staging” in October 2019 in the United States for “a dress rehearsal in the event of a global pandemic”.

This exercise, carried out by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, did not focus on Covid-19, as we explained in January.

"The exercise illustrated the areas in which public / private partnerships will be necessary during the response to a serious pandemic in order to reduce the economic and societal consequences on a large scale", explained the school of public health.

  • "A few days ago, we discovered that we had taken out a patent on the tests to detect the Covid-19 disease on October 13, 2015"

The claim comes from Jean-Bernard Fourtillan, who has been accused of conducting a questionable clinical trial.

A patent entitled "System and method for testing Covid-19" does exist.

However, this patent has been subject to modifications.

Initially filed in 2015, this then focused on the use of biometric data.

It was then modified in September 2020 to relate to a test method for the new coronavirus.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
