YouTube was the victim of a complete blackout on the night of Wednesday to Thursday.

On its Twitter account, YouTube reported the problem at 1:23 am French time, telling people experiencing difficulties that they were "not alone".

The outage has indeed impacted users around the world.

During the period in question, the DownDetector site thus received reports of malfunctions from Brazil, the United States and even South Korea.

Europe and Australia have also been impacted.

The portal referenced nearly 280,000 reports in less than an hour at the time of the peak of the failure.
