The Virgin Hyperloop company managed to make its first flight with passengers on board this Sunday, reports

.

However, this test only reached a speed of 160 km / h, far from the 1,200 km / h promised.

In 2017, the capsule could have been propelled at 387 km / h but no one, at the time, had traveled in it.

As for the track, it was only 500 meters long, therefore requiring sufficient distance to brake.

Tests for higher speeds should therefore provide sufficiently long tracks.

400 tests were carried out

During this testing phase, two managers from Elon Musk's company boarded the Hyperloop.

Before inviting them on board, more than 400 tests were carried out to ensure that the nacelle was completely secure.

The latter is not in contact with the rails, but moves thanks to a magnetic levitation system, in other words, thanks to electromagnetism, reports the specialized media.

Future lines could see the day soon in the United States, such as Texas, Missouri, the Midwest and North Carolina.

They could also be established in India, Saudi Arabia or Dubai.

But the project is also subject to criticism, who consider that its interest is limited given the capacity of a means of transport such as the TGV.
