keep delivering news of a 16-month-old baby who died after being carried to the hospital with a bruise all over her body.

There were three reports of suspicion of abuse earlier, and there were also autopsy results indicating that the baby was believed to have died due to the shock inflicted on the stomach. An arrest warrant was requested for the mother of the child today (9th).

16-month-old baby A, who died after being transferred to the hospital emergency room on the 13th of last month.

The police reported that Mr. B, the mother of both A and Ms. B, had killed Ms. A, and applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. B for child abuse and death.

The prosecution also ordered a supplementary investigation once and requested an arrest warrant.

It is known that Mr. B admitted to neglect when the police presented CCTV around the house where the child was left alone and a statement from the neighbors.

However, it has been said to deny the fact that the abuse resulted in death.

The police are also known to have obtained the opinion of multiple medical experts that it is difficult to say that the abdominal injury inflicted to the child was simply caused by a fall.

The police, however, did not apply for an arrest warrant against the father because it was determined that the mother was mostly abused.

Although there were three reports of suspected abuse earlier, it was found that there were also legal loopholes in not separating Ms. A from their parents.

Under the current law, both the police and child abuse officials have the authority to separate the victims from their parents.

[Gong Hye-jung/CEO of the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association: (the decision subject) should be unified, because when this is done, this phenomenon occurs.] The

police reported suspicion of child abuse more than once or at a medical institution. In the case of reporting, five criteria are set, including when a suspected abuse wound is found on the child's body, and if more than one of them falls under the judgment of the child protection agency, we are considering a plan to separate it by itself.
