Huawei unveils a 200W charger capable of recharging a battery in 10 minutes -

More than the autonomy of smartphones, it is now the time it takes to recharge them that matters.

Thus, manufacturers such as Oppo or Xiaomi recently unveiled ultra-fast chargers capable of recharging 4000 mAh batteries in just twenty minutes, but it seems that Huawei is doing even better.

During the presentation of its new Mate 40 Series in China, the manufacturer indeed announced that it had managed to develop a wired charging system capable of fully recharging an average battery of a smartphone in just 10 minutes.

A show of force

However, the two chargers planned (one of 120W, the other of 200W) are not about to be marketed.

The reason for this is quite simply the fact that no current smartphone would be able to withstand such charging power without taking damage while charging.

The electrical power of these chargers could indeed generate a lot of heat, which could damage the battery and affect their lifespan.

Huawei is not the only one facing this problem.

Oppo and Xiaomi also have to find a solution to operate their respective ultra-fast charger while avoiding damage to smartphones.

You will therefore have to wait a while before you can recharge your phone in just 10 minutes.

Currently, some smartphones still support fast charges.

This is particularly the case of the latest Huawei, the Mate 40 Pro, which supports the 66W SuperCharge wired charger which can recharge its battery in just 35 minutes.
