Police arrested a woman in her residence this morning after abandoning her baby.



This woman in her 20s living in Seoul has been identified as the baby's mother, A.



The police are investigating why Mr. A, who went to the baby box, left the baby outside.



Mr. A is known to have stated to the police that "I did not know that the baby was dead."



However, he admitted to putting the baby on the drum.



In order to determine the exact cause of death, the police will request an autopsy of the baby who died tomorrow at the Noodle Tree, and will continue the investigation by applying the charges of abandonment or organic lethality to Mr. A.

The church that operates the baby box has announced that it will reinforce the facility by installing motion sensors around the box to prevent recurrence.
