Last month, a college student took his own life while suffering from malicious comments in the school's online community.

The writings by the dead students even included anonymous comments that encouraged extreme choices, but it is pointed out that community operators and universities are also responsible.

Mr. A, who was attending Seoul Women's University, has posted on the bulletin board of the college student's online community, Everytime, about her difficulties with depression.

But, rather than comforting, cold comments began to appear.

The anonymous bulletin board was filled with writing that mocked Mr. A and even encouraged extreme choices.

Mr. A, who had been suffering from malicious comments for more than two years, died on the 8th of last month.

In his suicide note, Mr. A wrote, "I was very distressed by the bad comments," and "Please punish the perpetrators."

The bereaved family sued the police for insulting users who gave malicious comments, but the investigation is not easy.

Because it is an anonymous space, it is difficult to identify a publisher, and even if you track your IP with a warrant, it is not easy to verify your identity if you leave the app.

Although similar damage has been occurring one after another, it is pointed out that Everytime is actually putting its hands on management.

There are many voices saying that measures to strengthen management responsibility are needed to prevent further damage.
