PS5: an app to control the console remotely -

Geeko

On November 19, Sony's new console will be released in Europe, the PlayStation 5. On this occasion and after unveiling the console interface, the Japanese firm has reviewed and corrected the PlayStation App.

An important update which introduces several new features, including several remote controls.

Designed as a true social network in its own right, the PlayStation mobile application will allow you to "quickly see what your friends are playing and access details on your recent games and your list of trophies," says Sony.

The app will also allow you to "keep in touch with the world of PlayStation, wherever you go", in addition to enjoying a new home screen, as well as a new interface.

From the application, players will be able to consult the PS Store from their smartphone and "download games and extensions remotely directly to their PS4 or PS5".

More so, PlayStation App will allow gamers to launch games remotely on their PS5, manage storage space by uninstalling games, for example.

It will be possible to consult the PlayStation Blog from the app and check the latest PlayStation news.

Imminent deployment

Finally, good news, the messages will be integrated into the PlayStation App, so it will no longer be necessary to go through the dedicated third-party application.

Sent messages and the history of PlayStation Messages will automatically be transferred to the new PlayStation App.

What's more, players will be able to create "Parties" directly from the app and voice chat for up to 15 players.

The new version of the application is being deployed and should arrive at all players in the coming days.

This upgrade of the PlayStation application which now centralizes the various PlayStation features on mobile (iOS and Android) is obviously a good thing.

Players will no longer have to juggle 36 different apps.
