Today (31st), the fishing vessel'Blue Sea 3', which hit the pier of Wonsananmyeon Bridge in the west coast of Chungnam Province, killed 22 people, was found to have sailed rapidly at 27-33 km/h.

According to the Coast Guard and others, Captain A (42) of Blue Sea 3 said in the initial investigation, "We sailed at a speed of about 27 km per hour."

However, as a result of checking the system on board by the Coast Guard, it was said that the speed was recorded at about 33 km/h.

A maritime official said, "It is estimated that the captain was not able to avoid the pier by driving the ship at 27-33 km/h in the dark before dawn," and "It seems that the speed was slightly increased to preempt the so-called fishing point."

The number of passengers at Green Sea No. 3, which is 9.77 tons, is 22, and it was determined that it was not overboard at the time of the accident.

The weather and visibility were on the good side, and the Coast Guard confirmed that there was no problem with the departure time or the captain's drinking condition.

Blue Sea 3 departed from Boryeong Ocheon Port at around 4:50 a.m. and headed for Yongseom, Nokdo, and crashed into Pier 1 of Wonsananmyeon Bridge.

In this accident, 3 people in their 40s to 60s including B (62) died, and 19 people were injured.
