Lee-sam Park, chairman of Eastar Jet's pilots union, who had been hungry in front of the National Assembly in response to massive layoffs, fainted and was transferred to the hospital on the morning of the 29th.
Chairman Park has been fasting for the 16th day, starting on the 14th when Eastar Jet fired more than 600 employees.
A union official said that Chairman Park was in a bad condition, complaining of dizziness from yesterday, and was transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Yeouido for treatment.
Earlier, Eastar Jet said it would lay off its employees according to the size of the current six aircraft to facilitate the sale of the company.
Since the 3rd of last month, Eastar Jet's pilot branch has been making a concert in front of the National Assembly for more than a month.
