The parents of a 16-month-old baby who died after being brought to the hospital with a bruise all over the body were charged by the police yesterday (20th) on charges of child abuse.

An autopsy of the Noodles Tree revealed that there was an abdominal injury caused by an external shock, but it seems that the cause of death will be investigated from various angles.

Reporter Kang Min-woo reports.

the 13th, she was transferred to the hospital emergency room with bruises and wounds on her body, but she eventually died for 16 months.

While investigations are underway to find out the cause of Ms. A's death, the police charged Ms. A's parents for child abuse, etc., and investigated from daytime yesterday.

[((Baby) How will you explain the abdominal shock, do you admit the abuse charge?)…

This is the first time a survey has been conducted to look into allegations of child abuse.

Since last week, the police have been investigating whether there has been past abuse by conducting investigations on acquaintances of both parents, childcare facility officials, and medical institutions where Ms. A was treated in the past.

In the investigation conducted earlier, the police were said to have obtained statements from neighbors stating that they saw parents neglecting Miss A.

The National Forensic Research Institute, who performed an autopsy earlier, gave a primary oral finding that the cause of the death of Miss A was abdominal damage caused by external force.

The police plan to check the relationship between the abuse and death by synthesizing the results of the final autopsy, as well as the investigation of both parents and neighbors.

Separately, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is looking into whether the front line police have properly investigated when reporting suspected child abuse three times in the past.
