It was confirmed that the Minister of Public Administration and Security Jin-yeong invested 500 million won in the Optimus Fund and lost money.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and others, in February of this year, Minister Jin invested a total of 500 million won in the name of himself, spouse and son in the Optimus Fund.
In their own name, 100 million won, and the spouse and eldest son each invested 200 million won.
Minister Jin explained through the spokesman's office of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, "I invested through the NH Investment & Securities branch, which I had previously traded with, with the recommendation that it is'better than bank interest'.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed that a member of the Democratic Party also invested 100 million won in the Optimus Fund in January of last year.
The lawmaker explained that "I invested at the recommendation of a securities company, and I did not know if it was related to Optimus."
It also revealed that the investment was recovered after maturity came back.
