While research to find a solution against Covid-19 continues, YouTube is now tackling disinformation about the coronavirus vaccine, reports the BBC, relayed by BFMTV.

Google's video platform has decided to remove any videos or comments that indicate the Covid-19 vaccine can kill, cause infertility, or allow microchips to be implanted.

But beware, only monetized videos are concerned.

200,000 videos deleted since February

YouTube has already cleaned up its platform from the start of the pandemic.

According to Google, 200,000 videos deemed dangerous or misleading dealing with Covid-19 have been deleted since February.

The video platform of the American giant follows in the footsteps of Facebook.

The social network announced at the beginning of the week that it was now banning advertisements that would discourage Internet users from getting vaccinated against the coronavirus.

But once again, only monetized publications will no longer be permitted.

Messages or groups that discuss the relevance of a vaccine or claim its dangerousness will not be deleted.
