At about 8:50 yesterday evening, a hot water pipe opened near Omok Park in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.



[Witness: I was exercising, but because of the smoke coming out of the sewer, the water flowed back little by little.] The



hot water pipe with the problem was found to be an old pipe installed in 96 years.

Hot water and heating supply to about 840 households, including nearby apartments, were cut off due to the hot water pipe restoration work.



Recovery work continues until this morning.

About 8:10 yesterday evening, a fire broke out on the 15th floor of an apartment in Sinnae-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul.



The light went out in about 30 minutes, but a woman in her 50s in the apartment was injured.



In addition, five neighbors were evacuated.

Before that, at 7:30pm yesterday, a fire broke out in a household goods warehouse in Yongjin-eup, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do.



Fire burned a prefabricated building and heavy equipment such as forklifts and household goods in it, inflicting an estimated 840 million won in property damage to the fire department.
