today, lines of waiting to get the flu vaccine continued outside the building.

With shortages of vaccinations being cut off everywhere, health officials have decided to switch up to 15% of free vaccines for children aged 13-18 to children under 12 years of age.

Some of the free vaccines for teenagers were exposed to room temperature, but it was confirmed that there was no quality problem, so the vaccination was resumed from yesterday.

A public health center in Seoul said it received an email from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and explained that a system for vaccinating children under 12 years of age and then posting records is already in place.

The procurement route of free flu vaccine varies depending on the target of the vaccination.Adolescents and those over 62 are bought and distributed collectively by the country, but children under 12 are purchased together with paid vaccines at individual medical institutions and divided according to the demand of the previous year. .

This year, the demand for vaccines itself increased due to Corona 19, and after the free vaccination was stopped due to exposure to room temperature of the vaccine, 120,000 adolescents and others who were eligible for free vaccination flocked for a fee, and the authorities issued an urgent prescription.

This time, it is estimated that about 350,000 units will be converted to children under the age of 12, but it is questionable whether it will be able to handle all of the insufficient quantities for children.
