“The most important thing, it would be necessary, first of all, to use the established principles of international cooperation that took place during the formation of the ISS,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying at a press conference at the International Astronautical Congress.
Rogozin said that on the ISS, all fundamental decisions are made jointly.
“Therefore, if we could return to these principles, then we could return to the consideration of the very issue of participation in this program,” he added.
According to Rogozin, the Gateway project is too "American-centric", and therefore Russia is not interested in a large-scale participation in it.
In May, Roskosmos announced that lunar exploration projects could become a factor in cooperation between Russia and the United States.
