This year, the first ASF, that is, in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do, where African swine fever occurred, confirmed an additional ASF, and the quarantine authorities are working on the sale.

Gangwon-do said yesterday (9th) that ASF positive was confirmed at another farm in the bud of Sangseo-myeon, 2.1km away from the pig farm that first occurred.

The farm, which is raising 1,20 animals, is one of two farms subject to preventive killing in the quarantine zone within a 10 km radius of the first farm.

For preventive killing, the quarantine authorities said that 30 animals raised on the farm were sampled and examined positively in two of them.

However, it is known that preventive killing has been decided for both this farm and the two farms in the quarantine, and there is no separate action because burial work is currently in progress.

Another farmhouse targeted for killing, which is 7.7km away from the first farmhouse, came out in Eumseong.

As a result, the number of pigs killed so far has increased to 2,196, including 721 farms for the first occurrence, 1,20 farms with additional confirmation, and 450 farms subject to preventive killing.

In addition, the provincial quarantine authorities conducted a close examination of 114 farms in eight cities and counties adjacent to the first farmhouse, and all were confirmed negative.

Hwacheon, Cheorwon, Yanggu, Inje, Chuncheon, Hongcheon, Yangyang, Goseong, etc. 114 farmhouses in eight cities and counties raise 292,000,911 animals.

The African Swine Fever Central Accident Control Headquarters has extended the temporary suspension order for pig farms, livestock facilities, and livestock vehicles in Gyeonggi-Gangwon until 5 am tomorrow.
