In May of this year, an instructor at an Incheon academy, who caused the 7th infection by tricking his job during an epidemiological investigation into the epidemiological investigation process, was sentenced to jail.

On the 8th, Judge Yong-Hwan Kim, the 7th criminal justice of the Incheon District Court, sentenced academy instructor A (24), who was convicted of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Management Act, to six months in prison at a sentence of the sentence.

The judge said, "The defendant is a first offender and is still in his twenties, at a relatively young age," and said, "It seems that he made an instantaneous wrong decision without expecting an irreversible outcome for fear of revealing a different sexual orientation or gender identity to the outside."

However, "In three epidemiological investigations, I made or omitted more than 20 false statements about occupation and movement," he said. "Up to the point where the false statement was discovered, self-isolation measures were not taken in time for the accused's contact, and many people reported Corona 19 I judged.

Judge Kim continued, "There was a major social and economic loss due to the crime of the defendant, and the fear felt by members of the community could not be expressed. The situation after the crime was good, such as the defendant denied some of the crime in an investigation I have considered the reasons for the sentence.”

Earlier, the prosecution asked Mr. A to be sentenced to two years in prison, the highest sentence in the relevant law, at a decision hearing held on the 15th of last month.

At the time, the prosecution said, "The defendant visited the gym on the day of the epidemiological investigation, and went to the coffee shop afterwards," and said, "There are 80 corona19 confirmed cases caused by the defendant's comfort, and the crime is very bad."

According to the Act on the Prevention and Management of Infectious Diseases, if caught after leaving the place of self-isolation, imprisonment for not more than one year or fine of not more than 10 million won, and false statements in an epidemiological investigation, imprisonment for not more than two years or less than 20 million won. Will be fined.

Mr. A was convicted of corona19 in May of this year, and was charged with deliberately not revealing some of the movements of his job during the initial epidemiological investigation.

He hid his identity as an academy instructor and lied that he was "unemployed," and did not tell the quarantine authorities that he had lectured at a tutoring academy in Michuhol-gu, Incheon before being confirmed.

A, who was confirmed as confirmed on May 9 this year, was infected while visiting Itaewon and Pocha (bars) in Seoul on the 2nd to 3rd of the same month.

Mr. A stated in the police, "I was shocked at the time when I tested positive for Corona 19, so I lied, and I did not remember well because there was no situation," and "I am sorry to the infected."

There were more than 40 confirmed cases related to Mr. A, including elementary, middle and high school students in Incheon alone, and more than 80 were infected nationwide.

The transmission that started with Mr. A has even led to cases of '7th infection'.
