WhatsApp: why you shouldn't click on the share button right now -

Geeko

Good news for WhatsApp users, it seems that Facebook - owner of the messaging application - is about to integrate a new very useful function.

According to the WABetaInfo blog, users could indeed finally mute a conversation for as long as they want.

For now, if a person wants to stop receiving notification for any of their WhatsApp chats, they can only make it disappear for a limited period of time, either at 8 a.m., 1 week, or 1 year.

If the last option allows you to be quiet for a long enough period, the inability to mute the notifications of a conversation permanently, or until it is reactivated, is still regrettable.

Especially since it is possible on Facebook.

Available in beta test for now

According to WABetaInfo, the new option will be introduced with version 2.20.201.10 of the application which is currently only available to members of the beta program.

It remains to be seen when this version will be rolled out to all users.

Note that the person or conversation "transferred" is never kept informed, whether on Messenger or WhatsApp.
