Yesterday, 73 new cases of Corona 19 occurred on one day, keeping below 100 for the fifth day.
The number of domestic occurrences was 64 and the number of foreign inflows was tentatively counted.
By region, there were 19 confirmed cases in Seoul, 25 in Gyeonggi, and 5 in Incheon, with 49 confirmed in the metropolitan area.
In the non-capital area, there were 5 people in Busan, 4 people in Ulsan, 2 people each in Chungnam and Jeonbuk, and 1 person each in Daejeon and Gyeongbuk.
The health authorities explained that the average number of people traveling per day during the Chuseok holiday period decreased by about 20% compared to last year’s Chuseok.
It also revealed that the average number of patients per day for the last two weeks was 66.5, which is almost half of the previous two weeks, showing a decreasing trend.
However, he emphasized that it is too early to say that it is a definite sedation, as close to 20% of cases still do not know the route of infection, and group infection continues in vulnerable facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes.
