It has been confirmed that nearly 2,000 people have received the flu vaccine suspected of being exposed to room temperature during distribution.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the number of vaccinations in question was 1,910 cases in 15 regions nationwide as of yesterday.

66% of the cases were vaccinated before September 21, when the cessation of free vaccination was announced, and 22.6% were vaccinated on September 22, when the cessation of vaccination was reported to medical institutions.

Health officials explained that eight out of 1,900 people vaccinated against exposure to room temperature had adverse reactions such as chills, headache, nausea, hives and diarrhea.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is currently conducting quality tests on the vaccine in question, and according to the results, plans and schedules to resume free flu vaccine vaccination are expected to be confirmed.

Earlier, the health authorities were informed that Shinsung Pharmaceutical, which signed a free vaccine procurement contract on the 21st, did not comply with the refrigerated distribution principle, such as opening the refrigerator door during vaccine delivery, and temporarily suspended the national vaccination business.
