On the first day of the Chuseok holiday, today (30th), the highways to return homes are congested across the country.

The Korea Expressway Corporation has revealed that the congestion is getting noticeably worse, mainly in areas that are frequently blocked even on weekends, such as near Osan on the Gyeongbu Expressway, near Bibong on the West Coast Line, and Yeoju Service Area on the Yeongdong Line.

It is expected that it will take 7 hours 10 minutes from Seoul to Busan, 5 hours 50 minutes to Gwangju, 5 hours 10 minutes to Mokpo and 4 hours 10 minutes to Gangneung, based on the departure of the toll booth at 7 am.

The Road Corporation predicted that both the Guiseong-gil and Gwigyeong-gil would be the most blocked between 11 am and 12 am today, and the congestion will be resolved by 7 pm this evening.
