The Supreme Court was acquitted of the murder charge in a trial in the'Geum-O-do case' in which his wife was killed in a car crash for insurance money.

On the 24th, the second part of the Supreme Court (Presiding Judge Ahn Cheol-sang) confirmed the court case sentenced to three years of imprisonment for three years in the appeal of A (52), who was accused of murder or car burial, and for murder charges innocent, violation of the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling (lethal). Revealed.

The judge ruled that "there are suspicious circumstances, but it is difficult to rule out a reasonable suspicion that the victim's death may not have been due to Mr. A's deliberate crime."

Mr. A was arrested on December 31, 2018 at 10 p.m., for causing his wife B (47 at the time of death) to crash into the sea with a Genesis car at a marina in Geumo-do, Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.

Mr. A, who was staying at the dock with his wife, went back and got off the driver's seat alone, saying he was hitting a fall prevention railing and checking the condition of the car.

Mr. A got off the vehicle transmission in the neutral position (N), and the vehicle parked on the ramp fell into the sea with his wife on it.

The prosecution deliberately put the transmission in neutral, got out of the car, pushed the car into the sea, and turned it over to trial on charges of murder.

The first trial admitted most of the prosecution and sentenced A to life imprisonment, but the second trial overturned A's murder charge as innocent and admitted only the violation of the Traffic Accident Handling Act, and sentenced him to three years in prison.

Based on the on-site verification results, the judiciary found that even if Park did not push the car, the car could roll due to movement inside the car.

It means that after Mr. A got out of the car, the car could have moved by itself only with Mr. B's movement.
