Peugeot unveiled the so-called Peugeot Sport Engineered version of the 508 on Thursday.

With a system power of 360 hp, the model is the brand's most powerful production car ever.

With the presentation of the 508 PSE, the sporty label of the same name is also officially launched on the market.

The 508 PES accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.2 seconds and has a limited top speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

The model owes its performance to a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which also makes it possible to cover up to 42 kilometers completely electrically.

To keep the power in the right direction, the 508 is equipped with four-wheel drive, an adapted chassis, adjustable shock absorbers and larger brake discs.

There is a lower seating position for the driver.

The 508 PES, which comes on the market as a sedan and as a station wagon, can be recognized by a modified front bumper and air deflectors around the wheel arches and a rear diffuser.

The car can be ordered from mid-October.

Prices are not yet known.

The 508 PSE is also available as a station wagon.
