<Reporter> The

district prosecutor of the eastern part of Seoul announced on the 14th that it had summoned and investigated the son of Attorney General Chu Miae yesterday.

It is known that the prosecution intensively confirmed the circumstances of the sick leave and vacation held in June 2017 against Seo.

In particular, it is reported that the subject of the major investigation was whether or not to make a phone call on June 25, 2017 with a soldier on duty at the time of reporting this incident.

Earlier, Mr. A told him to return to the unit when Seo did not return after the sick leave period late that evening, and at the time, Mr. Seo answered that he would understand.

However, Mr. A claims that an unidentified senior unit officer came and announced that the vacation was extended.

Mr. Seo said earlier that there was no phone call with Mr. A.

The prosecution also called and investigated Mr. B, who served as an aide when Minister Chu Mi-ae was the party leader.

It is known that on June 14, 2017, during the period of Mr. Seo's sick leave, Mr. B called the officer of Mr. Seo's unit to inquire about his sick leave.

The prosecution is known to have investigated what led to the call to Mr. B and whether there was an order from Minister Chu at the time.

The prosecution plans to allocate the case this afternoon in which Minister Chu was accused of violating the Solicitation Ban Act in relation to the suspicion that there was a request to select Mr. Seo as an interpreter for the Pyeongchang Olympics last year, and plans to initiate a full-scale investigation.
