Hamba broker Yoo Sang-bong, who is accused of illegally intervening in the election to help independent lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun in the last general election, was arrested last night (13th).

The prosecution's investigation of Rep. Yun seems to be inevitable, claiming that Mr. Yoo had discussed the election intervention directly with Rep. Yoon.

Reporter Kim Soo-young reports.

Yoo Sang-bong, who was arrested last night, is accused of suing former lawmaker Ahn Sang-soo, who was a rival candidate for the election of independent lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun at the time of the last general election.

Earlier, Mr. Yoo filed a complaint with the prosecution, claiming that former lawmaker Ahn received billions of won in return for taking advantage of the construction site during the days of the mayor of Incheon.

Incheon District Court warrant officer Lee Yeon-jin issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Yoo, saying there was a concern about escape.

Initially, Yoo's warrant examination was scheduled to take place on the 9th, but Yoo did not appear in the courthouse and went to bed. On the same day, Yoo's son and his aide were arrested for engaging in false charges.

Yoo, who came out yesterday day after being caught by the police and undergoing warrant examination, claimed that he met with Rep. Yoon in person several times to discuss election intervention.

[Sang-Bong Yoo: Is it true that you discussed directly with Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun about the election intervention?

Of course we discussed.

Therefore, I also wrote a complaint.]

While Rep. Yoon did not give a special position to the arrest of Mr. Yoo, in July, he denied that the allegations of conspiracy with Mr. Yo were not true.

However, as Yu's son and his aide, as well as Mr. Yoo, are arrested, future investigations are expected to target Yoon directly.
